Come meet some of our amazing local publishers working within the city to support our local writers to become published authors. Each publisher will be on hand throughout the day, selling books and will deliver a showcase of their authors.
Kates Hill Press 10:45-11:45
The Kates Hill Press is a small press based in Dudley that publishes fiction, social history, poetry, and drama which is either written by West Midlands-based authors or is on a West Midlands theme. Founded in 1992 over 50 titles have been published to date by 25 different authors.
Fawn Press 12:00-13:00
Fawn Press is a socially conscious indie publisher from the heart of Staffordshire, publishing poetry that takes you by the hand and leads you into the woods.
Ignite Books 13:30-14:30
Ignite Books is a small, independent publisher with a track record of producing great books. Two of their titles have been longlisted for the Polari Prize, they have best-selling punk autobiographies, and are the publishers of ‘Dogged’ by Emma Purshouse, Wolverhampton’s first poet laureate.
Offa Press 14:45-15:45
Offa's Press publishes some of the most exciting poets in the West Midlands including David Bingham and the outgoing and incoming City of Wolverhampton poet laureates, Emma Purshouse and Kuli Kohli. Its watchword is 'good on the page and good on stage'. Offa's poets have been shortlisted for several awards, it receives regular support from Arts Council England and is committed to publishing a wide diversity of poets.
