Join author and broadcaster Paul Morris to chat about his semi-biographical debut novel. In his teenage years in Penn, football and pop music seemed more important than life itself. However, back then there was also one very important thing that was available to teenagers; music and dancing at youth clubs right across town, sometimes leading to romance, sometimes not! On most Saturday evenings, the music was performed by talented local musicians, teenagers themselves, who had dreams of becoming the next Beatles, Stones, Who or Kinks.
Paul's novel celebrates these talented musicians and bands from that era who provided so much joy and pleasure. Many released singles but none were hits. Some went on to find fame and fortune, others didn't. Paul firmly believes that the importance of all these groups to the 'Sounds of the City of Wolverhampton' should not be overlooked or forgotten.
Join Paul to relive the music, the romance, and the nostalgia of those times. Remember the music that you loved to dance to and the bands that you loved to see at your local youth club.
