The West Midlands is a modern county with an ancient landscape, and in her book Cath retells the stories that have grown out of the countryside, the towns and the industry for which this area is renowned. Being a traditional storyteller, Cath will tell, rather than read, some of the tales from her book. This entertaining performance includes little-heard stories of miners, farmers, highwaymen, wise women, ghosts and even a few jokes!
Cath is a professional storyteller and author, with a warm and engaging style. She tells stories to adults, families and children and she has expertise with the very young and with people with special needs. She is co-host of a storytelling club for adults, Lichfield Storytellers, and was for five years co-director of the Martineau Gardens Storytelling Festival. She is a successful workshop leader and creative writing teacher. West Midlands Folk Tales is her second published book.
