Join the Living Memory Archive and Black Country Arts Foundry for a fascinating glimpse into the past.

We’ve been working with Black Country writers to gather real life stories from around the region. Using photographs as prompts, each piece of writing is a trip down memory lane. You can hear a selection read out at this special event at the Wolverhampton Literature Festival.

The Black Country Arts Foundry has been publishing writing from across the area for more than a year, and you can find poetry, fiction, nonfiction and art at the site www.artsfoundry.org

The Living Memory project is celebrating everyday life across the area as told through people’s own photographic collections and life stories. It’s a Heritage Lottery Funded project that runs from early 2018 until the end of 2019.

Join us on Saturday 2 February and hear some real life stories celebrating the heritage of the Black Country
