Lawrence: A Silent Passing is screenplay based on the last years of TE Lawrence’s (Lawrence of Arabia) life, which ended suspiciously. The screenplay is a work in progress.

 

The session will explore the development of the screenplay, will use audience volunteers to read scenes to illicit feedback and review its development as a feature film.

 

About

 

Mark J.T. Griffin  (comes from lots of different places but this time around) was born in March 1958 in Wolverhampton where he was educated at Highfields School and Wolverhampton Polytechnic. He lives in the Cotswolds with his wife Ingrid and Sam, Dona & Calin the Labradors. He divides his spare time between writing novels, poetry, plays and screenplays and creating electronic music.

 

Since the mid-eighties he has written numerous articles and short stories on subjects ranging from clocks to computers to Custer. In 1994 he wrote Vangelis: The Unknown Man, a biography of the Greek keyboard player and multi-instrumentalist. Since then he’s written a book fo poetry, four novels including Going Home”, “Angel House”, “Cathar Prophecy” and “Richard of Eastwell”, a play about the life of Spike Milligan and is currently working on the screenplay based on the last years of the life of Lawrence of Arabia and a comedy detective novel called “Milton Keanes Investigates.”
