The Slade Rooms - 6.30 doors for 7pm start
Sit in with Ned's Atomic Dustbin front-man Jonn Penney and best-selling author Martin Roach while they discuss the early years of the so-called 'grebo' scene and how the Black Country music phenomenon that went global impacted on their lives and those of the people close to them.
Through two entirely different channels – music and books – Jonn and Martin, two ‘mild men’ of rock and lit, found common ground in terms of their fierce independent streak, creativity and individualism. Both will interview the other in a vicious ‘polite-off’ before questions are opened up for an audience Q&A.
'Jonn and Martin will chat about meeting up over a peculiarly titled book and an oddly titled band both of which went on to become best-sellers in their own worlds.'
