The Anatomy of British South Enterprise, is the first book to profile the contribution of British South Asian businesses to the British economy.
Written by award-winning author, Dr Christopher A. Johnson, the book traces the history of the first Indian/South Asian business, the Hindoostanee Coffee House that was established in London in 1809, to present day third-generation entrepreneurs from Afghani, Bangladeshi, Indian, Nepalese, Pakistani and Sri Lankan commercial, industrial and social enterprises including women.
Dr Johnson was awarded the Obama Shield for his previous book British Caribbean Enterprises, which was described as a historic first.
