Stars of Slam

Stars of Slam – five poetry slam champs are given the opportunity to showcase their work.  Enjoy an evening of top-notch spoken word.

Jemima Hughes is a poetry slam champ whose track record includes wins at the Swindon Poetry Slam, and the Scriptstuff Poetry Slam in Leamington. She was runner-up in the 2020 UK Slam.

Shropshire based Matt Jones is a farrier and a poet, both blacksmith and wordsmith. In 2023 he wowed the audience to win the Ledbury Poetry Festival Slam.

Salford’s Kieren King is the former Great Northern Slam Champion, a two- time National Slam finalist, and winner of the Wolverhampton Literature Festival Poetry Slam 2023.

Chloë Jacquet is a multicultural, multifaceted, multi-slam winning spoken word artist based in Gloucestershire. She was 2017 Oxford Hammer & Tongue slam champion and won the Stroud SubVerse Poetry Slam in 2022.

Colin Wells has engaged audiences far and wide and in recent years he has won the Shrewsbury Festival of Literature Poetry Slam, the Cheltenham Poetry Festival Slam and The Wirral Slam.
