Celebrate the power of words with us! Join our special event to witness a showcase of extraordinary talent from across the city. Meet local groups dedicated to elevating spoken and written artistry in our community. Drop by between 11 am and 1 pm to be enthralled by the incredible local talent.

After this vibrant start, immerse yourself in the world of Ekphrastic Poetry. Listen to the voices of local artists and poets who have collaborated to craft this exceptional experience. These performances and workshops are an extension of a 6-week exhibition that unfolded at The Crossing at St Paul`s in Walsall and then extended for 3 months at the New Art Gallery Walsall. The poetry you will hear has been artfully inspired by the captivating artwork displayed throughout the event.

Don't miss the exciting performances by Ian Henery, Brendan Hawthorne and Steven C Davis with Poetic Malevolence. If you are feeling inspired, join our Ekphrastic poetry workshop to try your hand at this unique form of creative expression. It is a celebration of words, art, and the magic that happens when they come together.
